IFT 2019 Feed Your Future event will happen in June 2-5 in New Orleans US. VTT is happy to be part of the event with two oral presentations. Emilia Nordlund will present VTT’s Hybrid Ingredient concept, i.e. how to use the plant raw materials maximally and minimize waste streams by adapting moderate fractionation concepts for industrial food production. Emilia’s presentation is titled “Hybrid ingredients to promote plant-based protein consumption” (session 228, June 4th). Dilek Ercili-Cura will talk about sustainable food production using cellular agriculture concepts. With a presentation titled “Cellular agriculture for food biomass and ingredient production” (session 307, June 5th), she will give insight on harnessing microbes for food production to reduce dependency on animal farming.
