D.Sc. (Tech.) Mika Sipponen has joined the Food Solutions team at VTT as a Research Scientist. His responsibilities include dry and wet fractionation of food raw materials and non-food biomass at VTT's pilot facilities. Additionally, his research interests include enzymatic processing of plant materials and utilization of lignin in renewable materials. During his doctoral studies, Mika worked one year at INRA (Versailles, France) and as a researcher in a project dedicated to single cell oil production at Aalto University (Finland).
