Food technology innovations of VTT presented at the 33rd EFFoST International Conference

The 33rd EFFoST International Conference, themed Sustainable Food Systems - Performing and connecting, was held 12-14 November in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. The Conference brought together nearly 500 professionals from the field of food science and technology. The conference programme consisted of 28 different sessions covering topics from new technology and food digestibility to personalised food, clean labelling, mild processing, food digestion, side stream utilisation, bioactive compounds and traceability of food. Research scientist Alex Calton gave an oral presentation related to ingredient characteristics for personalised snacks prepared at the point of consumption. Research Scientist Anni Nisov had a poster presentation related to enzymatic and pH extraction of fish proteins from whole Baltic herring and Roach.
