The consumer perspective about the relevance of health-related claims in foods (Dean et al 2012) and consumers' attitudes towards wholegrain products and functional grain products (Shepherd et al 2012) were studied as part of the HEALTHGRAIN project. The data (N = 2385) were collected in Finland, the UK, Germany and Italy on a target group of consumers over 35 year old, solely or jointly responsible for the family's food shopping.
