The 10th International Trends in Brewing Symposium was held in Ghent, Belgium from 1-5 April 2012 and well attended by over 300 researchers, students and representatives from all aspects of the brewing community. Drs Craig Faulds and Annika Wilhelmson from VTT attended this event where Dr Faulds gave an invited lecture on the fractionation and valorisation potential of Brewer’s spent grain. This biennial event was jointly organised by KAHO Sint-Lieven (Belgium), Herriot Watt University (Scotland) and the Technische Universistät Berlin.
