UKU poster successful at NuGOweek 2008

The poster presented by Otto Mykkänen, Minna Heikkuri, Lotta Mattila, Anne Huotari, Maija Tusa, Pasi Tuunanen, Hannu Mykkänen, Leena Pulkkinen, Karl-Heinz Herzig, Tom Dunlop and Riitta Törrönen was awarded the 2nd communication prize at NuGOweek 2008 (5th European Nutrigenomics Conference) held on 2nd - 5th September in Potsdam, Germany. The title of the poster was: "Effects of bilberry in a high-fat diet mouse model - from phenotypic changes to gene expression".

NuGoweek is the yearly meeting of NuGO, the European Network of Excellence on Nutrigenomics. Nine scientists from UKU and three from VTT participated in NuGOweek 2008. One session was organised by SYSDIET (Nordic Centre of Excellence coordinated by UKU). This session included keynote lectures given by Peter Arner (Karolinska Institutet) on "New aspects on adipogenesis in man" and Matej Oresic (VTT) on "Bioinformatics strategies for lipidomics analysis".
