ILSI Functional Foods Task Force organised on 5th-7th October 2011 in Prague a Conference "Health benefits of foods - From Emerging Science to Innovative Products", gathering about 200 people from industry and academia to discuss about developments in nutrition research and their impact on the way people will eat in the future.
Kaisa Poutanen from VTT gave a talk in the session "characterization of food", where the emphasis was in pulling together the food and nutrition sciences to define food characteristics important for physiological outcomes.
